Celebrate Women’s History Month with Chef Kiki Aranita

The Philadelphia Museum of Art’s new culinary showcase offers Philadelphians the opportunity to check out different cuisines from renowned chefs.

This weekend, the program will feature Chef Kiki Aranita for Women’s History Month. On March 4, 5 and 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Aranita will be showcasing her Hawaiian-inspired flavors, reminiscent of offerings that she served at her restaurant, Poi Dog, that closed at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Menu items include a ginger shoyu salmon bowl (made with sustainably raised fresh salmon, alaea salt, scalliom and sesame); tofu poke bowl (boasting Hawaiian ogonori seaweed, alaea salt, sesame, scallion, lime and rice); saimin salad (noodles, mixed greens, kamaboko and a Japanese fish cake with an option to add Kalua pig or tofu poke); chicken luau (coconut collard stew with roasted coconut chicken); Kalua pig nachos (made with smoky Hawaiian-style pulled pork, tortilla chips and frizwit cheese sauce); and li hing mui bibingka (a filipino coconut rice cake flavored with salty plum guava butter caramel).

Tickets to the museum are required (so, you can make a whole day out of it), and guests can pick up options in the museum’s cafe area.
