A child died Saturday night when a gun he was playing with fired inside a Norristown home, according to law enforcement officials.
An on-duty Norristownpolice officer declined to confirm reports of the child’s death Sunday, Philly.com reported.
According reports, the child was shot in the head while inside a home on West Oak Street near George Street around 8:21 p.m. He was transported to a Philadelphia hospital.
Officials have not yet revealed what led to the shooting, NBC Philidelphia reported.
