Chip Kelly has finally spoken.
The now former Eagles coach released a press statement this evening in the wake of his termination yesterday, reported Ian Rapoport with the NFL.

Saying he was “deeply grateful” to Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, Kelly added, “I deeply regret that we did not bring this great city and its fans the championship they deserve.” In addition to the standard graciousthanks extended to his colleagues, Kelly included a warm thought about his players, too.

“Finally, my players mean the world to me,” Kelly concluded. “I will miss them very much and I will be rooting for them to achieve their dreams. Life is all about responding to challenges and seizing opportunities.”
