Chow down at the Philly Cheesesteak and Food Festival

The Philly Cheesesteak and Food Festival is an event completely devoted to the most popular Philly eats. On Saturday, Oct. 15th it returns to Citizens Bank Park for the second year in a row where attendees will be ready to feast.
Flaunt your Philly pride while enjoying all the city’s classical favorites – Philadelphia pretzels, italian hoagies, roast pork sandwiches, water ice and, most importantly, cheesesteaks. There will also be carnival games, live entertainment and a cheesesteak-eating contest. And don’t worry — there will be vegetarian options, too.
“Everyone had a great time. We knocked out great product and everyone seemed to be excited to be there,” says Tony “Luke” Lucidonio Jr., CEO and co-founder of cheesesteak staple Tony Luke’s of last year’s event.
He continues: “The festival is a brilliant idea and is a massive undertaking. The people in charge are adding more food than just the cheesesteak this year, which is great. It opens up the festival to a lot more people.”
With over 50 vendors, this event gives you the perfect excuse to drown everything in cheese wiz and sample as much food as your stomach can handle.
