Where to get Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner in Philly for 2023

For Christmas Eve, Philadelphians can get a full Feast of the Seven Fishes experience while at Fork. Reservations are available from 4 to 8:30 p.m., and will feature a five-course prix fixe menu for $110 per person. 

Highlights include mussel toast with tarragon, garlic and chilies; caviar and buckwheat sable; fluke crudo with radish and blood orange; monkfish terrine; grilled squid with roasted tomato preserves; and a choice of entrees for two spanning a whole roasted branzino or NY strip. The meal will also feature pizelles, plus, the option to add a wine pairing or oysters on the half shell.

Dim Sum House

Both the Rittenhouse and University City locations are making this holiday season easy by offering dine-in, takeout and even delivery for both Christmas Eve and Day. Available from noon to 8:30 p.m., Philadelphians can order off of the regular menu and even cocktails to go. There’s also a special Christmas pre-fix available, titled Feast for All for $250 (note, it has to be pre-ordered by Dec. 23).

Highlights from the menu here include a 1/2 Peking Duck with 8 bao buns, scallions and cucumbers, 3 dim sum choices, rice and noodle dishes and much more.

A Mano

Diners can enjoy a special prix-fixe four-course menu from Townsend Wentz’s BYOB. Priced at $85 per person, the menu will feature “beloved pasta-centric dishes” found on the restaurant’s usual menu, along with carefully curated special additions for guests to enjoy, a release states. Reservations are available on Resy.

This hotspot is offering an order-ahead/take-out option for Christmas Eve and Day meals. Holiday packages can feed 2 (for $110), 4 (for $180), or 8 (for $300). Philadelphians will be able to pick through an assortment of options, with highlights including brown sugar bourbon glazed ham, braised brisket pot roast with red wine au jus, smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, orange honey glazed carrots, parker house rolls, a red velvet roll and more.

Forsythia

Philadelphians have a week of opportunities to indulge for Christmas dinner in Philadelphia (now through Dec. 23). Dubbed Bûche de Noël, the experience spans four tasting courses, an entree, and a dessert for $95 per person. Reservations are available via Resy. 

Highlights include oysters with uni mignonette and osetra caviar; wagyu beef tartare with Jimmy Nardello pepper, beef fat hollandaise, and black truffle; Scallop Crudo with noir cured foie gras, preserved lemon, and hazelnut; Escargot with chartreuse almond butter, and bergamot croutons; Dry Aged Rohan Duck Breast A L’Orange with caramelized endive, satsuma, and pistachio; and a dessert course of Nutella Bûch de Noël.

Urban Farmer

As a release states, the modern American steakhouse located in the Logan Hotel will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, offering a selection of holiday specials from Executive Chef Sonny Ingui in addition to its à la carte menu. 

Highlights include the Pennsylvania ham ($28) with a maple and stone ground mustard glaze, 1855 beef ribeye ($50) with shallot merchant du vin sauce and horseradish creme fraiche, or a slice of bourbon pecan pie ($12) served with cardamom-spiced chantilly cream. Reservations are available online.

Locals can head to this Center City hotspot for Christmas Eve dinner (and grab some brunch the next day as well.)  

Highlights for dinner (with seatings available from 5 to 9 p.m.) include a burrata flatbread ($15) with heirloom tomato, basil, and bang cauda; duck wings ($15) made with sambal, honey, sesame, and lime; brussel sprouts ($14) topped with smoked bacon and soubise; seared farro island salmon ($30) served with confit potato and coriander yogurt; red curry and roots ($22) with bomba rice and coconut milk; a half jerk chicken ($32) topped with roasted cabbage and 1682 hot sauce; and a 16oz ribeye ($52) accompanied by brown butter potatoes and horseradish demi. 

To end things on a sweet note, dessert options span blood orange cheesecake ($10) and chocolate layer cake ($10) topped with a graham cracker crumble and whipped cream. For brunch, diners can head back to Square 1682 on Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to indulge in dishes like duck wings and waffles, cobbler French toast and much more.
