The holidays are quickly approaching and this year, the festivities in Philadelphia will be bigger than ever. Christmas Village is returning to LOVE Park (1500 JFK Blvd.) with a brand new centerpiece set to dazzle folks far and wide who come see the authentic German Christmas market.

Nestled in the heart of the long-time tourist favorite will be a 30-foot spectacular Christmas Pyramid. The authentic design is inspired by traditional wooden pyramids from Germany’s Ore Mountains. This new centerpiece, in addition to the 65-foot-tall illuminated Ferris Wheel, Carousel, tens of thousands of twinkling lights, and rows of wooden booths filled with international and local vendors, will transform LOVE Park, making it an even more photogenic location than ever, especially with City Hall in the backdrop.

“This year will be especially memorable as we debut our new traditional German Christmas Pyramid… Standing tall at the heart of Christmas Village, it will bring an authentic touch of German holiday tradition for all visitors to enjoy,” said Christmas Village President Thomas Bauer. “It is a project we have been working on for many years, and we can’t wait to see it take over everyone’s social media feeds. With the beloved Christkind returning once again and our continued partnership with CHOP for the ‘Festival of Trees’ fundraiser, we look forward to bringing families and friends together to create lasting memories.”

As it is every year, Philadelphia’s Christmas Village will be the perfect place for those looking for the ideal gifts for everyone on their list. With over 120 local and international vendors showcasing their handcrafted treasures, patrons will travel between charming wooden cottages throughout LOVE Park, City Hall’s Courtyard, and North Broad. Just across the street, at Dilworth Park, the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market can be found and features an additional 40 local artisans and makers. Folks will find ornaments, toys, apparel, jewelry, decorations, home goods, and gourmet treats from over 160 vendors to support small businesses during the most wonderful time of the year.
