El Vez
To celebrate the spirited holiday a little early, Philadelphians can head to Center City hotspot El Vez for a day-long block party on Saturday, May 4, from 1:30 to 8 p.m. The fiesta will feature a DJ, a Hornitos truck serving up margaritas, plus plenty of bites to go around.

Sueno
Another early Cinco celebration comes from Sueno, who will be shutting down Sansom Street for its festivities. This Saturday, May 4, the venue will host a block party from 1 to 9 p.m. followed by an indoor party to keep the fun going all night long.
Sips and bites being offered span street corn, chicken skewers, barilla tacos, walking tacos, plus flavored margs (think guava, strawberry, and classic), frozen drinks in festive cups (like pina coladas), and other seasonal favorites.

A Novel Idea
For something a little different for Cinco de Mayo in Philadelphia, locals can head to East Passyunk’s A Novel Idea for a visit with the tarot reader (Marg) and comp margaritas for those who participate. “Margs with Marg” tickets come out to be $40, and the festivities will be in full swing this Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.

El Camino Real
There are two opportunities to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Philadelphia with El Camino Real. On Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5, El Camino will have an outdoor tent with two bars, frozen cocktails, a DJ, Hornitos trailer, giveaways and drink specials throughout both days.
Specials being served in honor of Cinco this weekend include a pineapple margarita in a fresh pineapple ($18), watermelon frose ($14), $4 Tecates, an $8 citywide Tecate and shot of Hornitos special and more. The fun starts at 3 p.m. on the 4th and 2 p.m. on the 5th.

Sor Ynez
Sor Ynez is throwing its own family-friendly fiesta this Sunday chock full of activities and food/drink specials. Highlights span games like giant Jenga, cornhole, and Tragos, plus some giveaways (such as planting peppers and herbs to take home), a photobooth, live music, and more.
Menu specials will span tacos, quesabirria, nachos, 16-inch churros and other bites. The fun will be in full swing on May 5, from noon to 8 p.m. on the venue’s patio.

Cantina La Martina
Philadelphians can head to Cantina La Martina this Sunday for an all day La Parrillada (aka a BBQ) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Food options span ribs, barbacoa, rotisserie chicken, machetes, plus tacos de cabeza, suadero, pastor negro, pollo and carnitas, while drink specials include margaritas, cantaritos, frozen piña coladas, strawberry daiquiris and more.
The occasion will also feature a Build Your Own Taquiza de Cabez station and kid’s activities.
And as a release notes, Cantina La Martina is also currently running a contest to win a free trip to Oaxaca, Mexico with Chef Dionicio Jiménez and co-owner Mariangeli Alicea Saez, and the winner will be announced at 9 p.m. during the Cinco de Mayo festivities (must be present to win). More details can be found online, but full passports must be submitted to the restaurant by May 3 to qualify.

While you’re down by the waterfront this Sunday, Philadelphians can head to Liberty Point for their first-ever Cinco de Mayo festival from noon to 8 p.m. The El Movi Miento Cinco de Mayo festival presented by Wooder Ice will feature live music, dancing and plenty of food from Liberty Point’s kitchen as well. For Cinco de Mayo in Philadelphia, Dock Street is throwing its Calle del Sabor on Sunday, May 5, from 3 to 8 p.m. Food and drink specials span coconut curry shrimp tacos, a mezcal margarita, el pastor tacos, Dock Street’s Mexican Lager El Puffer and more.

Hotel West & Main
Hotel West & Main in Conshohocken is offering up its own spirited offerings for the occasion at both onsite bar/restaurants, 1874 Social and Hook & Ladder.
On May 5, Philadelphians can sip on a few different margaritas including the classic, berry blush, or downtown heat (the latter is only available at Hook & Ladder), and special tacos will also be served up with varieties including quesobirria, shrimp and salmon poke.
