City Paper: West Philly photographer trains her lens on those recovering from addictions

Stigma or fear of relapse keeps some people from talking about overcoming alcohol or drug addiction.

But West Philly photographer/former alcoholic Jillian Bauer is talking and so are the 30 other recovering addicts featured on her The Rooms Project website.

Bauer collected their stories in hopes of making those still struggling with these problems feel less alone and inspiring them to seek help. She’s looking for more people who want to tell their story.
