CITY HALL – At a Council committee hearing on Fire Department brownouts, Deputy Mayor Everett Gillison offered different versions than West Philadelphia residents on response-time for an August blaze that left a 12-year-old autistic boy dead.
Neighbors estimated firefighters arrived in 8-10 minutes. Gillison said it was 3:45. The women urged Council to push to end brownouts, currently slated to last through June 30, 2011. metro/bph
