Shoppers and lovers of handmade finds are in luck, the Clover Market is opening back up for the season with its first iteration set for Sunday, Sept. 8, in Chestnut Hill.

The award-winning market debuted in 2010 with the mission to a provide a venue for independent artisans and antique dealers to connect with customers who love to shop small. The experience began in Ardmore, then eventually expanded to hold events in coordination with the local business districts in Bryn Mawr, Chestnut Hill, Collingswood and Kennett Square.

Over the years, Clover Market has provided a venue for hundreds and hundreds of small businesses to connect with customers who love to shop independently. Their markets are curated, and they focus specifically on handmade goods and high-quality vintage finds.

To kick off 2024, locals can head to Chestnut Hill along W. Highland Avenue and in the large Turquoise parking lot at 25 W. Highland Avenue to find everything this year’s festivities have to offer.

The Chestnut Hill Market will feature food and beverages from Many Hands Coffee, Clean Plate Club, Korea Taqueria, Mom-Mom’s Kitchen, Redstone Pizza, Waffles, and Panna Gelateria, a release notes.

Local band Wayside Shakeup will also perform from noon to 3 p.m., and kids can enjoy face painting and free crafts throughout the day. Visitors are also encouraged to explore the “charming” downtown area of Chestnut Hill, which offers a variety of unique shops and restaurants. The event is free and open to all, providing an ideal outing for families, friends, and anyone who loves to support local artisans.

Future Clover Markets to look out for in 2024 include a stop in Collingswood on Sept. 22, Bryn Mawr on Oct. 6, and Kennett Square on Oct 20. Each date will feature 90 to 100 vendors and a rotating group of food trucks and musicians.

The release also notes that the 250+ vendors participating this season were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants, representing some of the most talented artisans and makers in the region. To conclude the 2024 season, the Market will return on Dec. 7 and 8 to the Westtown School in West Chester for the indoor Holiday Market, which has been expanded this year to 110 vendors.
