Plans for the city’s first Apple store were quickly approved by the Arts Commission yesterday, with commissioners saying they were excited by the design of the Walnut Street outlet.
The size and scope of the store planned for 1607 Walnut Street won’t be nearly as impressive as well-known Apple Stores in Manhattan, Boston and elsewhere, but commissioner Patricia Sanford described the design as “very elegant.”
“Walnut Street is where you want to be when they come in to the city,” Sanford said of the location.
