Conshohocken condo fire forces residents from homes

A fire at a condominium building in Conshohocken forced residents from their homes early Wednesday.

The fire at Grande at Riverview condominium complex, located on the 200 block of West Elm Street, broke out about 3:30 a.m., 6ABC Action News reported. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from a fourth-floor unit.

The fire was confined to the one unit, but residents in nearby homes were evacuated and taken to a nearby fire station. One person was treated for smoke inhalation, but there were no other reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
