A Philly cop who was in a car crash two weekends ago and the teenager who saved him will be among the guests on The Ellen Degeneres Show Wednesday afternoon.
Police officer Mark Kimsey and Joe Chambers, 17, are scheduled for an interview on the Nov. 19 episode of Ellen, set to air at 4 p.m. on NBC.
Chambers was honored by City Council for his efforts to rescue Kimsey last week.
Kimsey has called Chambers his “hero.”
Kimsey was trapped in his car after his police car collided with a civilian driving a Toyota Tacoma at 28th and Tasker streets.
No DUI was suspected and no charges have been reported.
Chambers and another Good Samaritan, Dante Johnson, 24, ran to pull the drivers out of their cars.
Kimsey’s police vehicle ignited into flames shortly after Chambers pulled him out of the car.
