The Eagles didn’t look anything like a playoff team Sunday. They didn’t even look like a team that deserves to hold court on an NFL field.
Even with the Cowboys reeling from several key injuries, including one to stud wideout Dez Bryant — and another to Tony Romo in the third quarter — the Eagles couldn’t move the ball on offense and fell 20-10. And more importantly two games back in the division to 0-2. With Romo expected to miss at least eight weeks with a fracture to his shoulder, and Bryant out nearly that long, Dallas will be treading water with Brandon Weeden calling the shots.
The Eagles were favorites after the preseason showed off their (potentially) potent offense, slated with +125 odds (to Dallas’ +140). Here’s how BooksMaker Sportsbook has it now: Odds to win NFC East (as of 9/21/15)
