Criminal history targeted

CITY HALL – Re-entry advocates will rally today in support of a proposed bill that would prohibit employers from asking about criminal history on job applications.

City Council’s Committee on Public Safety will hold a hearing on Councilwoman Donna Reed-Miller’s legislation. Michael Ta’Bon, an ex-offender who’s holding a month-long demonstration in a makeshift jail cell, is expected to testify.
