‘Crooked’ cops head back to jail

Two police officers accused of attempting to rob an undercover cop posing as a drug dealer of 20 pounds of marijuana and $3,000 cash waived their preliminary hearing yesterday.

Officers Sean Alivera and Christopher Luciano were arrested in uniform on Oct. 4, allegedly with stolen money.

Alivera, 31, wore an orange prison jumpsuit; Luciano, 23, was in a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants. Luciano’s mother was crying and shaking when she saw him enter the room flanked by sheriff’s deputies.

Assistant District Attorney Chris Diviny was “pleased” the preliminary hearing was waived but wouldn’t comment on potential plea deals. Luciano’s attorney Fortunato Perri Jr. said, “We’ll make that decision when appropriate.”
