Crossbow killer was reportedly naked and victim was newlywed wife, police say

Police announced Tuesday that Paul Kuzan, 40, is charged with using a crossbow to kill his newlywed wife, 42-year-old Pamela Nightlinger.

Police responded to their home in Northeast Philly on Sunday around 9:19 p.m. after calls that a woman had a “penetrating wound” to her chest. Nightlinger and a witness told police that her husband shot her with a crossbow, according to the police report. Nightlinger was pronounced dead an hour later.

Neighbors said they saw Kuzan naked and shouting, “She’s the devil,” after shooting Nightlinger, the Inquirer reported.

The couple reportedly just married June 17.

Kuzan is charged with murder and possessing an instrument of crime.
