Looking to add a splash of color to your summer fun? Then get ready for the ultimate multidimensional chalk art celebration, coming to Delco later this month.
The First Annual Delco Chalk Fest has been announced and will take place just outside of Subaru Park on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 16 and 17. Featuring life-sized works by 12 professionals from around the country and the local art scene, Chalk Fest will also provide plenty of chalk for everyone in attendance to contribute their own masterpieces, helping the streets come alive with vibrant visual creations.

“Visit Delco is proud to present this one-of-a-kind event, which brings art, community, and fun together in a way that everyone can enjoy,” says Rob MacPherson, Executive VP of Visit Delco. “We invite families, art lovers, and curious visitors to come experience the talent and energy that this event will bring to the Delaware County riverfront.”
The festivities will also include a variety of food trucks, a kids’ area featuring face painting and balloon art, and an appearance by DJ Greg G, who will bring all the music necessary to turn this party into a true festival.
Folks of age in attendance will have access to Union Yards, where they can sample from the location’s many craft beverages for additional enjoyment. As a special guest, the Philadelphia Union Mascot, Phang, will make an appearance to partake in the festivities.
