More than 500 people marched through the streets of Media on Sunday, taking part in the inaugural DelCo Trans March and Trans Flag Raising Ceremony. The march was planned in an effort to show support and solidarity with the trans and non-binary communities in honor of Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV).

The demonstration was organized by U.D.T.J. — Understanding. Devotion. Take Action. Justice. — a center that serves the BIPOC, LGBTQ, and youth communities throughout Delaware County.

“This year, TDOV holds particular significance as our communities face unprecedented attacks on their rights and mere existence across the country,” Kyle T. McIntyre, Director of Operations and Programming at U.D.T.J., said. “We are not going anywhere. We’re fighting back and pushing back the lines.”
