Facing the possibility of losing out on a year of eventual free agent eligibility, DeSean Jackson (No. 10 as he’s well known) showed up in Lehigh for Eagles camp this afternoon.
The brash bottle of lightning who shares much of the offense’s burden with Michael Vick and Lesean McCoy still wants a new contract. He’s currently in the last year of his rookie contract and is making a paltry — by game-breaking NFL wide receiver standards — $565,000 this season.
“I can tell you he’s excited to be back,” quarterback Michael Vick told the Inquirer in Lehigh today. “He’s ready to come back and play football this season, ready to come back and handle his business, be the consummate teammate. He’s going to come in and let his play speak for itself, come in with a different attitude.”
