If you were around 15th and Walnut yesterday you may have noticed a huge line of people wrapped around the block in the sweltering heat.
Were they waiting for a new tech gadget to go on sale? What could possibly compel all of those Philadelphians to hurry up and wait outside on a such a hot Wednesday?
According to Philly.com, it turns out, Kendrick Lamar was making an appearance at Ubiq (1509 Walnut St.) for his “Damn. pop-up shop” (named after his latest album, “Damn.”) that coincides with his tour.
Fans were able to buy special merch that ranged in price from $30 to $60 and some even caught a glimpse of the celebrated rapper.
Later that night he performed to a packed house at the Wells Fargo Center.
