Diner en blanc waiting list just opened

Diner en Blanc, the exclusive outdoor pop-up where guests, clad in all white, throw a massive dinner party in a public space, is coming back to Philadelphiafor the fourth year in a row. It will be held in August again; the exact date will be announced next week at a Diner en Blanc preview party, June 9 at 5 p.m. at the Headhouse Shambles (Second Street between Pine and Lombard). The number of registrations and a new-this-year lottery system will also be revealed.

To sign up for the wait list, go to www.philadelphia.dinerenblanc.info/register.Signing up doesn’t guarantee you a spot at the dinner, but it does mean you’ll be notified when slots for the event go on sale.

No need to sign up if you’ve been to Diner en Blanc before — you’re automatically registered and will get notification.

At last year’s Diner En Blanc, more than 3,500 guests set up tables along Broad Street, from City Hall to Pine Street. The location of this year’s event is top secret, of course, but the theme of the table decorating contest has been announced: It’sPhiladelphia neighborhoods.
