Achane carried the ball 10 times against the Jaguars and scored a rushing touchdown as well as catching 7 passes for 76 yards. The Bills struggled to contain James Conner in the early goings last time out and Achane has a great shot to find the endzone here on home turf.
The young running back scored 11 total touchdowns in 11 games last year and is on pace to repeat that same feat in 2024. The Bills gave up 124 rushing yards in week 1 and this is a prime spot for Achane to build on a strong start to his season.
The Bills’ secondary is in a state of flux right now. The safety position in particular feels easy to exploit and the cornerback position has injury-related question marks with Tarron Johnson leaving week 1 early. Tua was dealing in the opener against Jacksonville and it was yet another example of just how lethal the Dolphins’ receiving tandem can be. The QB should have no problem finding the endzone on multiple occasions in week 2.
The rookie wideout burst out of the gates in the opener catching 4 of 5 passes for 51 total yards. The absence of Stefon Diggs in Buffalo’s offense is apparent and Josh Allen’s chemistry with Coleman should only grow as time goes on. In a game that could well result in a shootout, Coleman looks poised to see plenty of traffic in week 2.
The veteran safety rallied to 6 tackles in the opening game of the season and now faces an offense he knows well given the years spent in Buffalo before his transition to Miami. He passed this total 5 times in 2023, but constantly hovered around the 5-6 tackle mark.
He played in all 53 defensive snaps last time out, which should highlight confidence in the Oregon State product’s play at this age. Against an offense he knows inside out, he’s bound to be a force to be reckoned with on Thursday night.
