Doogie Horner has several sides of his artistic personality, each with its own fan base.
He was a humorous graphic designer for Philadelphia’s Quirk Books, where he wrote and illustrated the pie-chart tome Everything Explained Through Flowcharts: All of Life’s Mysteries Unraveled, Including Tips for World Domination. (Horner is also responsible for the kinky cover of Quirk’s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the New York Times best-seller.)

The Philadelphia funnyman famously applied his skills to his time on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” during its fifth season, when he reached the semifinals.
Better still, Horner was forever a creature of the local stand-up comic scene making regular stops at Helium Comedy Club with his nonsensical schtick and nerdy good looks. He moved to Manhattan in 2014, but runs back to Philly as often as possible. Further proof that Horner misses his hometown comes with the release of his first comedy album, A Delicate Man.

“I recorded my first album at Philly’s Helium this past November, rather than New York,” he says proudly. “Helium is the first place I ever performed. I started doing comedy there at an open mic nine years ago, so I wanted to record this there.”
And what can we expect from the album? “My early comedy was considered pretty strange by some. This album has several jokes that are like my early conceptual one-liners, but also more conversational, personal stories about my real life,” he says.
