About 500 people were trapped on a Septa Regional Rail train for nearly two hours Thursday after an overhead electrical line fell on the vehicle.
The paced in-bound R2 from Warminster stalled just south of Roslyn a approximately 8:15 a.m., Septa official said.
Electricians for the authority worked to “ground” the wires while the passengers remained on the train. After getting the all-clear, Septa used a rescue train to transfer riders.
They finally arrived in the city around 10:30 a.m., about two hours after they should have.
Septa was using shuttle service between Glenside and Warminster through most of Thursday. Commuters were told to expect delays.
