Drug deal a family affair?

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia police have arrested five people in a major drug bust, including a school police officer and two parents who allegedly used their young children as “mules” to hide drugs from police.

On Tuesday, authorities confiscated 20 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $90,000, a loaded handgun, and $10,500 in cash.

Officers first recovered 13 pounds of marijuana during a routine car stop in Southwest Philadelphia. That led to a sting operation where police stopped a 9-year-old and 10-year-old carrying seven pounds of marijuana in their backpacks.
