If you’re looking to take a break from drinking (but still want to imbibe in a spirited experience), we’ve rounded up some of the best spots for Dry January in Philly in 2025.
Wallace Dry Goods
This non-alcoholic bottle shop in Ardmore is partnering with several area restaurants to celebrate Dry January in Philly. Owner Robin Cummiskey is teaming up with SOMO in Manayunk, High Street on Market and La Baja in Ambler to showcase a variation of mocktails on their menu.
Highlights include the Mezcal Margarita at SOMO (cut above zero-proof mezcal, Dhōs Orange non-alcoholic liqueur and fresh lime), the Sneaking Suspicion at High Street (a mineral-driven margarita riff that incorporates Cut Above Mezcal, Pentire Seaward, house-made black lime syrup, lime juice, and All the Bitter Orange Bitters) and the Paloma at La Baja (Pentire botanical spirit, lime juice, and grapefruit soda.)
Additionally, locals can head to Lola’s Garden on Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. for a NA tasting, then, a Mocktail Hour at Wallace Dry Goods with La Llamalita Vegana and Bake Bake Philly on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. (tickets available online.) And lastly, a happy hour event with High Street Hospitality will take place on Thursday, Jan. 16, in the lobby of The Franklin Residences in Washington Square (time TBD.)
48 Record Bar
Philly’s own listening lounge and cocktail locale is celebrating the dry month with the addition of a few new mocktails. The “Polyester Dinosaur” ($12) for one is crafted with pineapple, turmeric-honey syrup, ginger, lemon, and a tajín rim (optionally topped with ginger ale or seltzer). The “Wit or Witout” ($12) is comprised of cranberry, pomegranate juice, orange juice, lime, vanilla, and cherry and orange bitters, and the Coconut Matcha Mojito ($12) is prepared with cream of coconut, lime juice, matcha tea, mint muddle, and splash of club soda.

Philadelphians can play a round of mini-golf and score some spirit-free drinks while at this Center City locale. The space is serving up a N/A Spritz ($10), a Passion Fruit Lemonade ($8) and other mixtures like the H2NO Ranch Water ($10) and the Cotton Candy Crush ($9) prepared with cotton candy syrup, lime juice, and Red Bull Coconut Edition.

Stratus Rooftop Lounge
A stylish way to enjoy Dry January in Philly is with Stratus Rooftop Lounge in Old City.
Highlights include the Amalfi Coast (aka a riff on the Aperol Spritz with Lyre’s Zero Proof Bitter Italian Liqueur, Fever Tree club soda, and orange), or the Dark and Not So Stormy (a mixture of Lyre’s Zero Proof Dark Cane Spirit, fresh lime, and ginger beer.) Another pick is the Spiced Cos-no-politan, their take on a Cosmo, made with cranberry, winter spices, fresh lime, and Fever Tree club soda.

Andra Hem
There are a few reasons to head to Andra Hem, but for Dry January in Philly, the locale is offering the Phoney Negroni or the N/Agroni. The drink is made with 1 L Chinotto and 500 mL Sanbitter.
“My favorite way is a simple 2-1 ratio of your favorite Chinotto and Sanbitter. I like it even better than a traditional Negroni,” says Bar Manager Patrick Jennings.

This full-service café-by-day and cocktail bar-by-night from Bluebird Distilling features a slew of alcohol-free sippers with a focus on coffee.

At Nobu, visitors can find a Lychee Passion sipper and the Coco Shisho made with coconut water.
