Eagles 2017 schedule, opponents (will play NFC West, AFC West)

With the NFL’s rotating schedule the Eagles entire slate of games for the forseeable future is already written in stone — expect of course for the two games they’ll play against NFC teams that will reflecttheir finish in 2016.

Lets assume for a moment they are unable to catch the Redskins (or Cowboys and Giants for that matter) in the NFC East and are in last place. That would put the Eagles up against the Panthers in the NFC South (or the Saints is the Panthers finish in third) and the Bears for a second straight year.

Philly will play the NFC West and AFC West in 2017, with home games againstArizona, San Francisco, Denver andOakland, and away games inLos Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City andSan Diego.

This of course in addition to six games against the NFC East.

The good news is —as opposed to last season when the Eagles’ seemingly meaningless win on Week 17 got them matchups against the Seahawks and Falcons instead of the Rams and Saints — the Eagles will not see much of an advantage or disadvantagefinishing fourth or third.

Based on the standings right now — with three NFC East teams and three NFC West teams currently above .500 and possibly heading for the playoffs, Philly’s strength of schedule will be toward to top in 2017.
