Eagles 3 Storylines to watch

1 The fast and the furious.

How do you stop the fastest man in the NFL? The answer could be the key to an Eagles’ victory this weekend.

The Titans like to run the football, and most of the carries are going to Chris Johnson, who registered a 4.24 40-time prior to the 2008 draft. Johnson rushed for 2,006 yards in 2009 and already has 596 this season.

“Chris Johnson is a different kind of back,” Eagles linebacker Stewart Bradley said. “There aren’t many guys in the NFL faster than him.”

2 Good to be the King.

King Dunlap will start at left tackle for the second straight week, with Jason Peters (knee) out.
After some very shaky fill-in work, Dunlap rebounded in a big way against Atlanta. Kevin Kolb was sacked just once, with Dunlap often sticking to John Abraham like glue. He’ll need to be even better this week, as the Titans lead the NFL with 24 sacks.

3 Read the depth chart.

The Eagles will be without their No. 1 playmaker: DeSean Jackson. That means plenty of targets for Jason Avant and, yes, rookie Riley Cooper.

While Avant is listed No. 2 on the depth chart right now, there is a chance that Cooper could start at flanker, opposite Jeremy Maclin. The team usually likes to keep Avant in the slot. “It depends on the individual, specific play where those guys line up,” said offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg.
