The only thing we know for certain about the 2011 Eagles is that they own the 23rd overall draft pick. Now, even that may be in jeopardy.
General manager Howie Roseman hinted yesterday that the Eagles were interested in trading that pick to a team eager to land a first-round quarterback.
“We’re in a great place in the draft to get some of those quarterbacks where they’re slotted to go, if someone wants to come up and get one of those quarterbacks,” Roseman said Thursday. “People are interested in moving up.”
If the Eagles do decide to trade down in next Thursday’s NFL draft, they’d most likely target an offensive or defensive linemen. Roseman said the team would explore “other avenues” when addressing their pressing need at cornerback.
