Eagles front office revamp is taking shape: What we know so far

It’s been a tumultuous few months for the Eagles and their front office. Fresh off of losing their fourth high-ranking member to an Assistant GM job, they are looking to replace some of their bigger names.

While no hirings have been named at this time, it’s the second notice of potential fresh faces joining Howie Roseman after the team brought in Charles Walls from Cleveland as their Director of Player Personnel.

Hunt and Ferrari are two of the newest names Eagles fans have heard of, so let’s take a look at the profile and see just how good these two guys are.

Brandon Hunt

With the Steelers promoting Omar Khan to their General Manager position, a lot of people have speculated on Hunt’s future. He was in discussions for the GM job, but with it ultimately going to Khan, it gives Hunt a chance to look for jobs elsewhere.

Hunt has been with the Steelers since 2010 and was actually a scout for them starting in 2005.

It was reported by Hunt himself that he was also being mentored by arguably the greatest NFL Scout of All-Time: Bill Nunn. Nunn’s record is unmatched. His legacy on HBCU athletes and the HOF’s selected by the Steelers in the 70’s opened up a brand new idea of scouting athletes.

With Hunt having experience in working with the greatest scout ever, it could give the Eagles a leg up on the rest of the competition.

Jon Ferrari

Ferrari has been with the Eagles for six seasons now and is currently the team’s VP of Football Operations and Compliance.

Ferrari had spent the majority of his career in the NFL league office from 2007-2016. He had spent six years as part of the league’s Management Council and labor operations.

Ferrari would be a logical choice to replace Catherine Raiche in the Football Operations office with Raiche leaving for Cleveland close to a month ago.

With Howie Roseman as the defacto leader of the Eagles front office, it’s clear he and Jeffery Lurie have an eye for bringing top people into the organization.

As more names go out for better jobs, the pressure continues to be added on by Roseman and Lurie to find the next best group of people to run the Philadelphia Eagles.
