Eagles injury report: A.J Brown & Chauncey Gardner-Johnson miss Thursday’s practice

The Philadelphia Eagles have released their second injury report ahead of Sunday’s clash against the New Orleans Saints. Unfortunately for Birds fans, the likelihood of star wideout, A.J Brown, missing the contest is only increasing.

Eagles injury report: Thursday September 19th

Brown and Wilson have been dealing with lingering hamstring injuries since the end of last week and although Wilson was able to play through his, A.J Brown was sidelined, and the signs of a potential turnaround in time for week 3 aren’t exactly visible.

As mentioned in yesterday’s injury report article, the Eagles offense did survive without Brown. But DeVonta Smith dominated the target share and it’s not like the duo of Britain Covey and Jahan Dotson brought much to the table. Instead, Grant Calcaterra and Dallas Goedert saw an uptick in usage as the Eagles tried to work around the injury. It worked, but if there is ever a game they need their dominant wideout, it’s this one.

CJGJ also appears on the injury report following the loss to Atlanta. He wasn’t listed on yesterday’s, so there should be some optimism that this is just a minor setback, although as we learned last week with Brown, that’s not always the case.

We will receive definitive status updates on all 3 players soon, so stay locked in to Philly Sports Network for the latest updates.
