Eagles injury report: Miles Sanders & Jason Kelce appear good to go for week 1

The 2022 NFL season is just four days away, and the Eagles have unveiled their first injury report after Wednesday’s practice.

Eagles look healthy going into week one

Wednesday afternoon was the first preparation week of practice for the team, with many major names returning to the field after offseason surgeries.

Luckily, the Eagles head into week one in Detroit as healthy as a team can be after training camp.

The two big returnees in practice have been Jason Kelce and Miles Sanders. Kelce is back as a full participant after having surgery on his arm during the preseason, while Sanders missed multiple weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Nick Sirianni did make the distinction that the entire roster would be participating in practice before the team took the field.

Javon Hargrave and Derek Barnett were limited participants, however, word has been sent on if either role player will be a game-time decision on Sunday. The Eagles will need both players as they are thin at the defensive end spot(Barnett’s spot), and don’t want to overburden the current starters at defensive tackle with Hargrave hurt.

Josiah Scott is expected to be a depth corner and safety player throughout the season and no word has been announced on his availability for the Eagle’s season opener.

The positive among all this is the fact that the Eagles have dealt with a lot of injuries over the last few seasons. To have the team as healthy as possible heading into week one is not only a good omen for the season, but it also means that the team is prepared and ready to go for the start of an exciting campaign.
