Less than two weeks before the Super Bowl, Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges.
Per TMZ, the charges are related to an incident that took place in Guernsey County in December of 2019.
Sills, who was signed as a UDFA by the Eagles this offseason, was indicted after an investigation from Guernsey County’s Sherrif’s Office.
The Eagles are yet to comment on the case, but there’s no doubting that this is absolutely deeply upsetting on all counts. For the victim and her family, for the teammates of Sills who now have to confront this days before the biggest game of their lives, and for all those involved with the team.
Sills played 110 snaps throughout the preseason and played in a few snaps against the Cardinals as a rookie. He played his collegiate ball in Ohio.
