Eagles love the vegetarians

Yes, folks, for the second straight year the Linc has been voted the NFL’s most vegetarian-friendly stadium, according to PETA.

The annual poll took into account the meatless meals and snacks offered by the league’s 32 teams and the Eagles once again came out on top. PETA credited the fact that the Linc offers two kinds of veggie burgers, a “meaty” mock steak sandwich, as well as hummus, pita chips and the newcomers like the seitan (plant protein) brisket and vegetable hoagie.

“Lincoln Financial has put together a ‘dream team’ of tasty, healthy vegetarian options for Eagles fans,” said PETA Associate Director Chris Holbein. “The best way to improve your health, help animals, and protect the environment is to throw the flag on meat and enjoy energy-boosting vegetarian fare.”

The Oakland Raiders came in second place for the second straight year.
