Eagles Notebook: Mike Vick shows off clothing line

Mike Vick has long been noted for his swag. Now, that swag is for sale.

Vick will launch his own sports-apparel line today at the Modell’s Sporting Goods store on Cottman Avenue. Vick has struck a licensing partnership with celebrity fashion mogul Ruby Azrak and ICM talent agent Brian Sher. The “V7 Performance” collection will be distributed exclusively by Modell’s.

“This is a dream come true for me,” Vick said. “The quality and design of the V7 line is on another level. I know my fans will appreciate the look and feel of the products. A portion of V7 sales will also be donated to the local Boys & Girls Club of Philadelphia.”

Vick has been re-building his brand after serving 18 months in prison. He received his first endorsement deal last June, with Unequal Technologies, then resumed his relationship with Nike last July. A spokesman for Modell’s said V7 apparel will be available in 30 stories, including 25 in the Philadelphia area. He will be appearing at the Cottman Modell’s today at noon (for Modell’s MVP members only) before moving on to a public event at the chain’s Snyder Avenue location.
