On Thursday the Eagles victory parade will march through Philadelphia and celebrate the first Super Bowl win in franchise history.
An estimated three million people are expected to pack Center City to celebrate the Eagles Super Bowl LII win and catch a glimpse of their favorite Eagles players along the parade route. Many estimate the Eagles victory parade will be the biggest celebration in Philadelphia sports history. So, if you thought the 2008 Phillies World Series parade was wild, you’re in for a ride.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, there will be extra law enforcement presence along the perimeter of the parade for maximum security.
People are encouraged to go out and celebrate the Eagles Super Bowl win, but if you have any plans to get too rowdy or, in a rare and bizarre case, eat horse manure during the celebration, Mayor Jim Kenney urges you to sit this one out.
“Knuckleheads should stay home,” Mayor Kenney said on NBC10 Philadelphia when he announced details for the Eagles parade Tuesday.
