The City of Philadelphia Department of Streets has indefinitely closed the East Wyoming Avenue Bridge over Frankford Creek, Fishers Lane/I Street, and the Juniata Golf Course, between Maple Lane and Ramona Avenue.

According to the streets department, the current steel support beams cannot safely carry the legal loads, forcing the roadway portion of the bridge to close. Warning signage will be installed along Wyoming Avenue and Castor Avenue to alert drivers.

The Wyoming Avenue roadway will be barricaded at both ends of the bridge and advanced bridge closed signs will be posted at Maple Lane and Ramona Avenue. The sidewalks will remain open, and the public will continue to have access to the trail below the bridge.
