The 89th annual Easter Promenade, one of Philadelphia’s oldest holiday traditions, returned to South Street on Sunday, April 17, after being postponed because of the pandemic since 2019. Master of Ceremonies Henri David led the procession to Headhouse Plaza. Hundreds of people dressed in their Sunday best, many wearing bunny ears or Easter Bonnets, took part in the promenade to the plaza where a “best dressed” contest took place with categories for babies, children, adolescents, adults, families and pets, as well as “Best Easter Bonnet.”
