I’d like to take this opportunity to officially welcome our new publisher, Daniel Sarko, to the Metro team.
Dan is no stranger to the city. He grew up in the Philadelphia area and upon introducing himself to the Metro staff, one of the first things he shared was his avid love for baseball and the Phillies.
Needless to say, he’ll fit right in.
Although we will all miss Susan Peiffer dearly—she is a true Metro icon, working as publisher of the daily paper for the past six years, and also as National Accounts Director in the early 2000s—but we’re also very excited to see what the future holds with Dan at the helm.
To Susan, thank you for everything. You are a true boss in the biz and personally, you made coming to work an absolute pleasure (and even made Zoom meetings tolerable). Your dedication, knowledge, passion and heart helped make Metro the paper it is today.
To Dan, welcome! As Philadelphia transitions back to its pre-pandemic glory, I’m beyond excited for the future and am very eager to work together.
