Education Power Players – Anna Shurak, Executive Director, Teach For America Greater Philadelphia

Joining us today is Anna Shurak, the executive director of Teach For America Greater Philadelphia. Anna works to bring more equity-minded, anti-racist educators to the city, and aims to build a coalition to increase opportunities for Philadelphia students. She understands the role that education plays in determining one’s path to economic mobility and career success, which drove her to pursue a career in the field. Anna’s determination to find and support great teachers and improve outcomes for students is what inspires her to continue her work.
