The EURO 2024 Championship is now entering the heart of the group stage phase. Here’s quick overview of Wednesday’s slate along with some betting tips.

Moneyline: Croatia -215 | Draw +340 | Albania +650
As far as must-win matchups go, this is a big one for Croatia. A 3-0 humbling at the hands of Spain certainly knocked the wind from the sails of a team that many penned to be dark horses in this years’ tournament, and they’ll need a bounceback win against Albania to ensure their hopes of escaping a very tough group stays alive.
As for Albania, this is a really tough spot. While their presence in the EURO’s is impressive in itself, being drawn against three of the real contenders in the same group meant that this was always going to be a tall order. However, they did at least score a goal in their opening game inspiring some hope at the very least.
Croatia have too much talent on paper to lose this game. Modric, Kramaric, and Kovacic headline an eclectic group that should have no problem getting past an Albanian side merely looking to enjoy the experience. This is a big game for Croatia, so I might even flirt with the -1.5 goal line at +140 odds.

Moneyline: Germany -380 | Draw +500 | Hungary +1000
Germany’s campaign got off to a flying start with a dismantling of Scotland on the opening night, and they’ll now look to try and best a Hungary team that have been able to largely keep pace in each of their last two meetings, including a win in the Nations League, and an explosive draw in EURO 2020.
This Germany team is head and shoulders above Hungary when it comes to talent, but the familiarity of the German makeup from the likes of former Leipzig standout Dominik Szoboszlai, and WIlli Orban of the same team, among others, might make this contest a little closer.
Hungary really need a result to keep their hopes of clambering out of the group stage alive, and Germany’s dominance has already been documented. I could see this game being a draw, but will be backing Hungary +1.5 at +100.

Moneyline: Scotland +350 | Draw +255 | Switzerland -110
Scotland’s embarrassing 5-1 defeat is going to do one of two things – spur them on to redemption against a Swiss side who are off to a great start, or see their hopes turn into dust.
Realistically, going from shooting against an aging Manuel Neuer to Yann Sommer isn’t going to be much help, and the back-four features the likes of Manchester City’s Akanji which only further complicates things. The Swiss side is bursting with premier league experience and that might well prove too much for the Scots to handle on the night. I’ll be backing a Swiss win as a result.
