Turkey come into this game as favorites and for good reason. Long regarded as a dark horse who underdeliver, they’ll be hoping to turn a few heads in a very winnable game here. With some young talents like wonderkid Arda Guler bursting onto the scene and a strong veteran core of players like the prolific Yılmaz up front, there’s reason to believe that Turkey can get off to a strong start.
Believe it or not, this is Georgia’s first ever International tournament of this level. The man at the core of a lot of their success is Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored 4 times in 11 qualifying games after a pair of two stunning Serie A campaigns. With Champions League experience under his belt, he’s very much the engine of this team.
As far as the game goes, I like Turkey to win, but I really don’t mind the idea of betting on a Kvaratskhelia Anytime goal at +200 as well.

An all-star Portugal team can never be written off. Their history in this competition is prolific and although knockout heartbreak set in last time out, they’ll be looking to go one step further in what could be Cristiano Ronaldo’s final Tournament at the international level. However, Ronaldo isn’t the only veteran still roaming the field. 41-year-old Pepe figures to be the leading center back, which might just give younger and more explosive teams some extra incentive to push the pace.
As for the Czech Republic, they’re another side that can never truly be underestimated. Patrick Schick has been a real menace up-front for opposing teams to deal with on this stage, while Soucek and Coufal will be able to further build on their chemistry after success as teammates at West Ham together on the European stage.
With the likes of Rafael Laeao and Bruno Fernandes, Portugal are always going to be the favorites, but I actually like backing the Czech Republic here. The team has been brilliant throughout the qualifying stage and will be keen to incite revenge on Portugal after a 4-0 defeat in the Nations League when they last met.
