VinylCon!
Known as the city’s largest record fair, VinylCon! returns to Philly this weekend for two days (May 10 and 11.) Housed in the 23rd Street Armory, the event will feature an estimated 100,000+ vinyl records from over 70 different vendors, including Philly’s own Skeme Richards. The show will also feature the vinyl-industry nonprofit Women in Vinyl, plus, accessories from BCW Supplies, RYTHM cannabis, Crown Royal, and Monster Energy.
Food-wise, bites will be served up by Victor’s Pizza Truck and Korea Taqueria on Saturday and Two Street Sammies and Papermill Foods on Sunday, plus, the bar will be run by Bonner’s Irish Pub. Tickets and two-day passes ($6-$30) are available online.

Art Star Craft Bazaar
The 2025 Art Star Craft Bazaar will be in full swing at Cherry Street Pier this weekend. Taking place May 10 and 11 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.), the pet-friendly event features over 80 curated craft vendors, hands-on make-and-take activities by Project Joy, Craft Nation, and Printadelphia, plus different giveaways.
The weekend also holds a special Mother’s Day botanical dye class where participants will learn techniques for dyeing cotton fabrics with botanicals to create their own organic textile (materials will be provided.) This particular event will take place both days ( slots available to book from noon to 4 p.m.) and comes out to be $25 per ticket (via Eventbrite.)

The Lady Hoofers
The Lady Hoofers offer a great way to see some dance shows this season in Philly with their annual Concert Series. Taking place Saturday, May 10 (2 and 7 p.m.) at The Harold Prince Theater in the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, the creative experience will feature original tap choreography by several accomplished choreographers, including a world premiere by Star Dixon.
The Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble is composed of 25 professional and pre-professional tap dancers, including the group’s First Company and Apprentice dancers, a release notes. For the first time, members of the company’s Youth Ensemble will also present a piece. Tickets ($25-35) are available online.

Anthony Brogdon at Coffee Cream & Dreams
Author Anthony Brogdon is headed to Coffee Cream & Dreams to talk about his latest writing, ‘Black Business Book’, which focuses on the rise of Black business in America, dating back to the 1800’s. As a release notes, the 17 chapters and over 200 facts cover a wide variety of subjects, including how some slaves owned a business, how slaves went to college, a list of over 40 Black-owned newspapers and so much more. Brogdon’s event will run from 10 a.m. to noon.

Philadelphia Market at Dilworth Park
Taking place every Friday and Saturday from now to June 28 (noon to 6 p.m.), Philadelphians will be able to peruse through handmade artwork, home goods, jewelry, and more from a revolving line-up of small businesses from the Greater Philadelphia and tri-state region.
Vendor names to look out for include BK Ceramics, Petal to The Metal Decor (art made with pressed fruit and flowers), Delectable Cookies, The Crochet Chick, Unique Payne’s Candle Creations, Harleysville Beekeeper (locally sourced honey), Cracked Bell (merchandise for Philadelphia), Cutie Pies Jewelry and more.
Admission to the Philadelphia Marketplace is no charge. This event is family and fido friendly. Food, drink and gifts are pay-as-you-go. Vendors looking to join Philadelphia Marketplace can fill out the “Interested in Becoming a Vendor” form online.

Mural Arts Wall Ball
Mural Arts’ annual Wall Ball will be in full swing this Friday, May 9, at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia. As a release notes, the evening will feature an exclusive VIP seated dinner, a program highlighting Mural Arts’ impact, a video presentation, and awards to honorees. The event will then continue with an energetic afterparty, all following the theme of “Restoring Hope: Where Art and Justice Meet.”
After-party highlights include live mural painting demonstrations, appearances by the Eagles Cheerleading Squad and the Philadelphia String Quartet, plus food by Catering by Design. Tickets are $125 for general admission, which starts at 8:30 p.m., and $300 for the VIP entry, which starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes the sit-down dinner and program portion of the evening.
