Every winter the one beaming light that helps all of us endure the cold weather is Girl Scout Cookies. Manayunk understands that and The Manayunk Development Corporation is partnering with Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania to honor the delicious and delectable treats that we love so much all month long. That’s right, starting Feb. 1 participating Manayunk restaurants are teaming up with a troop to create a delicious Girl Scout Cookie dish or cocktail with a portion of the proceeds going to Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. There will also be plenty of cookies available for purchase. Here is everything you need to know about Girl Scout Cookie Month in Manayunk.
Philadelphians can purchase all of their favorite cookies including Thin Mints and Thanks-a-Lots from any of these locations in Manayunk throughout Girl Scout Cookie Month: Pet Friendly Dog Bakery (Feb. 2, 11 am- 2 pm), Pineapple on Main (Feb. 2, 2 pm-5 pm), Philadelphia Runner (Feb. 9, 11 am- 2 pm), Johnny Destructo’s Hero Complex (Feb. 9, 2 pm-5 pm), Merge Dance Studio (Feb. 16, 11 am- 2 pm), Latitudes and Longitudes (Feb.16, 2 pm-5 pm), LILA Fashion International (Feb. 23, 11 am- 2 pm) and Main Street Music (Feb.23, 2 pm-5 pm).
A few Manayunk restaurants are putting their own spin on the sweet little packs of heaven with fun and delicious dishes and cocktails. Bourbon Blue will be offering cookie cocktails (Thin Mint Dream, Caramel-tini, Lemon Made Me Do It) and cookie dishes (Girl Scout Cookie Candy Bar, Lemonade Icebox Pie, and Do-si-doe French Toast).
Canteen Works will offer cookie-themed espresso drinks including a Caramel Delite Cappuccino, Thin Mint Mocha, S’mores Mocha and Caramel Chocolate Chip Latte. Manayunk Tavern will be offering their own spin on a sweet drink for Girl Scout Cookie Month with their cocktail: the Godiva Thin Mint Martini.
The Goat’s Beard will be serving cookie cocktails (Thin Mint Martini and Whiskey, Lemonade with a Lemonade Cookie Rim) and a dish (Halibut crusted in Caramel Delights with a smoked beet puree and roasted veggies) as well. Lucky’s Last Chance is following suit with their cookie cocktails ( Sammy’s Lemonade made with Amaretto, Lemonade, Crystal Head Vodka and Champagne) and cookie dishes (thick-cut Challa french toast stuffed with lemon curd and fresh blueberries coated with powdered sugar.)
Tubby Robot Ice Cream Factory will be delighting Philadelphians with a Cookie Season Sundae and Sona Pub & Kitchen will be serving a Caramel Delight Waffle & Ice Cream and a Caramel Delight Martini as well.
