Fairmount Woman Indecently Assaulted

Fairmount residents are on high alert after a woman was indecently assaulted yesterday afternoon.

A woman, 23, was entering an apartment building on the 1500 block of Green Street shortly before 2 p.m. when a man approached her from behind, reached up her dress and assaulted her.

He is described as a white male, possibly of Middle Eastern or Arabic descent, in his mid-to-late-20s with short, curly black hair and a medium build. He was wearing a bright blue and white checkered button-down shirt and khaki shorts.

The man was last seen running northbound on 15th Street.
