Fairmount’s Flying Carpet Café and Bar is hosting a fundraiser tonight to benefit the nearby Calcutta House.
The event, Art and Jazz, will auction works from local artist Justin Hinte and photographer Celeste Hardester. 50% of the proceeds will go to the Calcutta House, which provides social services to homeless adults affected by AIDS.
Philly jazz vocalists Tasha Underwood and Jeannie Brooks will perform. Admission, which includes hors d’oeuvres and a 6 to 7 p.m. open bar, is $30.
Those who want to know more about the event are asked to call Director of
Development and Communications at Calcutta House Joe Tozzi at 267-687-4760 or
to e-mail him at jtozzi@calcuttahouse.org.
