An accident in Northeast Philadelphia killed one and injured one this afternoon.
Three men in a pickup truck were speeding down the Roosevelt Boulevard near Welsh Road shortly after 3 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
Details of the wreck are murky, but one of the vehicle’s occupants, 21, was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead on the scene. The second victim, 19, was taken to Frankford Torresdale Hospital in stable condition and the third man in the truck reported no injuries.
Southbound traffic on the Roosevelt Boulevard is down to one lane. Authorities are investigating.
