Three drivers struck a male pedestrian and left the scene, leaving him to die in the street Saturday night in the Fern Rock neighborhood, authorities said.
Stacey Murphy, 52, was at the northeast corner of 10th and Spencer streets just after 8:45 p.m. when three separate cars turned left and hit him, according to police. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Murphy lived around the corner from the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
The vehicles – described as a white van, black Dodge Durango and light-colored sedan – were all last spotted heading north on 10th, investigators said. Detectives had not released any surveillance images or video of the vehicles at the time Metro went to print Sunday.
