Feast of the Seven Fishes (and then some) in Philly

Whether you’re looking for a classic Feast of the Seven Fishes experience in Philly, or something a little different, we’ve got plenty of options for you.

Wilder

Wilder will be debuting their Feast of the Seven Fishes menu on Dec. 23 with reservations available for 6 p.m. in their 3rd floor private dining room. As a release states, Wilder’s Executive Chef, Andy Tessier, will be hosting and cooking the meal in the private kitchen with drink specials served a la carte. Tickets are $85 per person and are available on Tock.

Cantina La Martina

Cantina La Martina is doing things a little differently—instead of the Seven Fishes, the venue will be hosting their 7 Moles event on Dec. 20 for the second year in a row. The activation will feature chefs from 7 different restaurants all serving up their own mole course. Guests attending will be served a complimentary ponche (hot cocktail made with guava, apples, sugar cane, and tequila) upon arrival and everyone will go home with a small gift by a Mexican artist along with a mole recipe card.

The dinner will take place at Cantina’s heated tent on their outdoor patio with two seatings at 5 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets run for $150.

Nunzio by Chef Michael DeLone

Running from Dec. 20 to 24, there are a few opportunities for Philadelphians to head to Collingswood to try the Feast of the Seven Fishes from Nunzio by Chef Michael Delone. And in 2023, the chef will be adding a twist to the offerings: Priced at $80 per person, the prix fixe menu will reflect the culinary heritage of the Feast while offering a non-seafood alternative as well.

Highlights span salt cod fritters, spaghetti with clams, fried smelts and more for the seafood portion, while those opting for the non-seafood (aka the meat-eaters) can indulge in options like braised veal shoulder, gnocchi, and burrata.

Martha/ Fishtown Pickle Project

On Dec. 19, another interesting spin on the classic occasion comes from Martha, who will be hosting the Feast of the Seven Pickles in partnership with the Fishtown Pickle Project. After two highly successful years, this Pickle Feast will take on the theme of “Philly Favorites”  and includes scrapple, a cheesesteak, an interpretation of a beloved Tastykake, pickle gelato from a new gelateria, and more.

As a release states, the Feast of the Seven Pickles will include three seatings with 50 seats available per timeslot, at 5, 7, and 9 p.m. In addition to the seven-course pickle-centric menu, this year’s event will include a partnership with Felt+Fat, who created a special edition Fishtown Pickle Project tumbler that Toscani referred to as “the perfect charcuterie board accessory” (it will be available for purchase at the event.) There will also be a mini holiday market featuring local provisions from Mural City Cellars, Martha, Fishtown Pickle Project and more.

Tickets for the dinner cost $95 apiece, and include a welcome drink of bubbly (a NA option will also be available), as well as a donation to Philabundance on behalf of Preston and Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger.

Oyster House

Oyster House is hosting a Feast of the Seven Fishes, but with a focus on shellfish from Dec. 19 to 21. For $85 per person, visitors can feast on Sweet Amalia oysters, tuna tartare, linguine and clams, a mixed seafood grill with a ½ lobster, scallops, prawns, and broccolini, and then a white chocolate and peppermint budino for dessert to finish things off on a sweet note.
